Get Yourself Safe and Ready!
For your horses safety.....You should never tie your horses up while bridled, even the best horse can spook, and the bit can severely injure or damage the horse's mouth.  Take the time to put on the halter.  Both you and your horse will be better for it.....

Safety and Etiquette of the Lemmon Valley Arena
  1. Where to park; East/south & west of main arena & between round pen & warm-up arena; NO parking between warm-up arena & main arena or between park & round pen;
  2. No parking length wise on the front side (announcer booth) of the arena; you MUST back in or pull in;
  3. Where to tie up horses; Horse trailer, provided hitching post; You may not tie up on or around warm up arena or the main arena or any buildings;
  4. Water should be accessible for your horse at all times;
  5. NO LOPING or TROTTING outside the arena;
  6. ALL Dogs MUST be on a leash or tied to your vehicle or trailer.  Please keep your dogs away from horses, some horses just don't do well with dogs.  We ask that you are courtesy of this.
  7. Rules for the warm up arena:
    • Passing should be done on the left side of the horse;
    • Directions should be changed as needed or requested;
    • All children under 18 and/or those that are still novices at controlling their horse should be supervised by parent
    • This is not where you compete;
  8. Before your class:
·         You should be at the gate one class prior to the class you are competing in;
·        
Horse should be fully tacked and ready to go;
·        
Make sure to double check your attire / shine boots etc.;
·        
Focus on aiming for your best / not beating everyone else;
  1. In the Main Arena:
·         No blocking the competitor from the judge;
·        
No listening devices allowed between competitor and trainer or other person outside the arena;
·        
No negative / condescending communication between riders in the arena;
·        
Faster horses to the inside / slower to the outside;
·        
Always track to the right when you first enter;
·        
Stay one and a half horse lengths away from the horse in front of you;
·        
Red ribbons on horses tail, means they are kickers, respect this and keep a safe distances for both you and your horse
