The WNHA requires that in order to qualify for year end awards, all members must have competed in 3 same classes at 4 of the 6 dated events to be eligible.

WNHA AWARD CATEGORIES

****All members in good standing, membership fees paid, ride in 3 same classes and have competed at 4 of the 6 WNHA Events held, to qualify for Year End Awards and as described herein****

YEAR END AWARD QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Membership required

·         All fees must be paid as described in the WNHA By-Laws and Rule Book, by April 1^st, or first event, whichever occurs first, to accrue points;

·         All members must have competed in the combinations as described herein;

·         Participant to ride in 3 same classes and as described herein;

·         All members must have competed at 4 of the 6 WNHA dated events to be eligible;

·         In classes where the Exhibitor has an option to ride Western or English, in order for the points to count towards Year-End Western or Year-End English, the participant must ride in 3 same classes, attend 4 of the 6 shows either Western or English, and as described herein;

·         Meet volunteer or fee requirements;

(R) DAY END AWARDS:

• Membership required
• Color-coded event plates will be given in each class specified to receive them for 1^st through 6^th place.
• Ride in the combination of age group (R) classes, i.e. Western Equitation, Pleasure and Trail
• An English Day End High Point Champion and Reserve Champion will be recognized and placed on the WNHA Website, and announced at the next scheduled event.
• A Western Day End High Point Champion and Reserve Champion will be recognized and placed on the WNHA Website, and announced at the next scheduled event.
• A Gymkhana Day End High Point Champion and Reserve Champion will be recognized and placed on the WNHA Website, and announced at the next scheduled event.

(R) SHOW AGE YEAR END AWARD CATERGORIES:

• Membership required
• To qualify, Participant MUST ride in the combination as described in year end award qualifications and herein;
• English Equitation, Pleasure, Trail
• Western Equitation, Pleasure, Trail

(R) GYMKHANA AGE YEAR END AWARDS:

• Membership required
• To qualify, Participant MUST ride in the combination as described in year end award qualifications and herein;
• Single Stake, Poles, Barrels

(P) SHOW PREMIUM CLASSES:

• Membership NOT required
• Showmanship classes will be paid accordingly: 1^st Place $12.00; 2^nd Place $8.00; 3^rd Place $4.00
• 1^st  thru 6^th will receive color coded plates
• Showmanship classes will have no other payouts, day end, year end or qualify for any other awards
• Showmanship classes will not be considered for points in combination of or with other classes
• Showmanship, Age
• Showmanship, Novice 

(J) JACKPOT CLASSES:

• Membership NOT required
• No Points
• No Awards
• 75% Payout
• Based on the number of entries in class 

(SC) SCHOOLING CLASSES:

·         Membership NOT required

·         No Points

·         No Awards

·         Schooling can be in any class

·         Participants to wear numbers upside down where required

·         No payout, day or year end awards will be awarded for schooling entries

SPECIAL AWARD(S)

(Y) YEAR END CLASS AWARD:

• Membership required
• Special Award Only;
• To qualify, Participant MUST ride in the combination as described in year end award qualifications and herein.  Participant and horse combination not to have won more than three (3) 1^st placing(s) prior to January 1^st of the current year in any similar competition(s) or events anywhere.
• Awards will be given to 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd only, and in the following classes;

                                                   i.      Western Equitation, Pleasure and Trail Novice

                                                 ii.      English Equitation, Pleasure and Trail Novice

                                                iii.      Gymkhana Single Stake, Poles and Barrels Novice

17 & UNDER SHOW & GYMKHANA SPORTSMANSHIP:  Any member who participates in the events (you don’t have to compete) is eligible.  You must be nominated by and voted upon by fellow members.  Good Sportsmanship consists of always lending a helping hand and being a good loser as well as a gracious winner, even though you may not feel like it.
